We started Students for Global Special Education to ensure that individuals with autism/ID have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Our Partners

We are partnered with two organizations based in Tamil Nadu, India to expand access to special education for children/young adults diagnosed with autism/ID from low-income families.

Anbumalar

The Anbumalar Special School was founded in 1998 to serve the needs of children/young adults diagnosed with autism/ID. The school is located in rural Tamil Nadu, India, and serves students from neighboring villages. The school provides students with specialized education, nourishing meals, physical therapy, and vocational training so that they have access to the resources they need to achieve their full potential. Learn more about Anbumalar here.

Praise Foundation

Praise Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Chennai, India. They facilitate social impact projects under the UN Sustainable Development Goals by partnering with various corporations, organizations, and volunteers. Over the past 8 years, they have worked with over 75+ social welfare projects that fall under causes such as education, health, child rights, women's empowerment, urban/rural community development, elderly care, disability, the environment, and animal welfare. Praise Foundation acts as a liaison between SGSE and Anbumalar. We work closely with them for project management and spreading awareness about our cause.
